Rostan Tavasiev’s artwork is exhibited in the public art exhibition at VDNH in Moscow
From May to September VDNH (The Exhibition of Achievements of National Economy, Moscow) holds an international public art program. In total, there are three Russian and five international art groups and artists that submitted more than 30 objects. Among them is Rostan Tavasiev, the artist of Anna Nova gallery, and his works "Instability" and "Authoritativeness".
Sculpture group "Instability", which gained one of top three places during the audience vote for the alternative monument to ex-President of Russia Boris Yeltsin, shows a very accurate metaphor for the 1990s in Russia. What is more, it is a monument to the "little man" (and, therefore, the continuation of the traditions of Gogol and Chekhov) – an imperceptible hero that attaches utmost efforts to preserve the delicate balance and not to let everything fall apart into pieces.
Apart from the balancing column, Rostan also presented a horse statue "Authoritativeness" at the VDNH.
Watercolor sketch of the sculpture "Instability" of Rostan is presented in the online store of Anna Nova gallery - 28bugs.com.
