A group exhibition 'Living Matter’ at the New Tretyakov Gallery is now open

Anna Andrzhievskaya, Vlad Kulkov, Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov, Ustina Yakovleva and Anastasia Potemkina take part in a group exhibition 'Living Matter’ at the New Tretyakov Gallery.

 

The exhibition is organized by the State Tretyakov Gallery together with the Polytechnic Museum and the Triumph Gallery and dedicated to the processes of evolution of the planet's ecosystem, new principles of ecological thinking, and possible models of coexistence between humans, animals, and the organic and inorganic world.

 

50 artists from 16 countries including Russia, Denmark, France, Sweden, the US, Italy and others take part in the exhibition. It features over 300 works made in various techniques and genres: immersive installations and sculptures, objects and photographs, video and sound installations. 

 

In addition, the project will be the first carbon-neutral exhibition in Russia.

 

Curator of the exhibition is Julia Aksenova.

The exhibition is on view from September 2 to October 10, 2021.
