On November 5 the exhibition ‘Slowly Arriving’ opened at Kunsthaus Baselland which features a video installation by Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov ‘The Moth and the Bat Flying to the Light’.
This is a video essay by the artist about the Other from an interspecies perspective. Ilya explores the idea of the fusion between the non-human animal and the human Other in order to demonstrate the mechanisms of constructing ‘otherness' in the animal and human worlds.
The work was displayed for the first time during the artist's solo project at the Anna Nova Gallery in the summer 2021.
The exhibition at Kunsthaus Baselland run until November 21.
