Three friendly galleries among which are Voskhod, OBDN and Art Catch with the support of project Voices of Culture show the group exhibition X-Nowness in Basel. The project, which features works by 38 contemporary artists and art groups, explores the concept of time and the so-called nowness. Ilya Fedotov-Fedorov, Mayana Nasybullova and Ustina Yakovleva are among the participants.
’The art is essential when talking about the space where we all are. According to my senses, it is temporal and represents a dynamic relationship between the past and the future, living in one point without reference to any specific time. The works at the exhibition are presented as a non-linear sequence of material points, ghostly doubles of reality, created at different times but telling about the present', says the author of the text about the X-Nowness project Darya Yartseva.
The exhibition is on view at Basel Art Center from June 16 to 22, 2022.
