Beautiful Life Magazine exhibition is dedicated to the first Russian glossy magazine – Capital and Manor, which used to be published from 1913 through 1917 and was intended for aristocrats and socialites. Here, you can see the works published in that magazine. Russian art is presented through the lens of tastes and preferences supported by the local elite in the early 20th century.
At the 3rd level of the museum, a special display of art created in the 21st century is located. This part of the exhibition invites to reflect upon the forms of contemporary art that accords with the ‘beautiful life’ idea. Visitors will see 20+ works from 15 private collections – Ruarts Fund, Anna Nova Gallery, Triumph and others among them. One of the works showcased is Catherine II Reading Voltaire at Sunset by Valery Katsuba and Vladislav Mamyshev-Monroe.
The exhibition is open on June 20 through October 6, 2024.
