Uldus Bakhtiozina started the shooting of her second feature film called WHERE TRAUMA BEGINS. Her new film is a bursting fusion of different movie genres, including absurd comedy, thriller, social drama about a challenging life of the main characters, and indie cinema with folklore elements.
Right now, the artist (and also the director) is filming the trailer and some of the movie scenes. Most of the shooting is scheduled late in October or early in November 2024 through spring 2025.
Uldus had her first film, THE FISHERMAN’S DAUGHTER, shot in 2020, and it was the last feature film the artist made in Russia. It was presented during the Berlin Film Festival in 2021. That film was released both in Russia and worldwide.
Uldus started filming the new movie like a stand-alone author (just like the previous one), and all the money earned from the sale of her works will be used to make this film. That’s why we decided to issue a limited amount of Uldus’s photowork called LAME HORSES ARE SHOT, RIGHT? - NO, I WILL CARRY MINE. THIS IS LOVE, BIG AND BRIGHT!
