DMITRY MARKOV’S LENS OF HOPE EXHIBITION OPENS IN PENNLAB GALLERY

THIS EXHIBITION CONTINUES THE SEVENTH HEAVEN PROJECT BY ANNA NOVA GALLERY

From September 11 through November 3, the Moscow-based PENNLAB Gallery will be holding Lens of Hope — the exhibition of works by Dmitry Markov that continues the Seventh Heaven project opened in Anna Nova.

The exposition comprises 39 photos that were not included into the Seventh Heaven. This event is a place to rediscover the art by Dmitry Markov — it invites his followers and those who aren’t familiar with his work yet to meet his heritage and pay tribute to his mastery.

‘Traveling is an integral part of Dmitry Markov’s photographic work. However, it doesn’t mean that his journey objectives were always clearly visible and easy to reach. This author’s vision is very special. Dmitry knew the right proportion to fuse precision of a lens used by a photographer on a trip and blurred mystical vision of an artist, and his method resulted in the reality all of a sudden talking to us in a tragic lingo.’
Vladislav Efimov, project curator.

The exhibition will be on till November 3.
