Project by Vlad Kulkov is presented at the Museum of the History of Religion until November 3 as a part of the 15th international festival Contemporary Art in Traditional Museum. The festival is organized by PRO ARTE Foundation and integrates contemporary art into exposition of six traditional museums. Also program of the festival includes art meditations, lectures and perfomances.
The project Transgenesis is located at the museum for a reason, because a process of creation new objects is very similar to rite practices: the artist denies the mechanics of touch and, pouring hot wax into the snow, let nature itself create a form of work, which he takes shape in bronze later.
